The MAC exists to nurture our community's understanding, appreciation and support of the arts, cultural heritage and humanities.
Our spacious 2000 sq. ft. street-level gallery showcases the work of our artists, photographers, handcrafters, writers, performers and musicians. Art is changed quarterly to keep the gallery fresh. MAC holds free receptions open to the public and featuring live music and refreshments at each changeover. Additionally, there is a lower gallery that hosts seasonal exhibitions, visiting exhibitions, education classes, lectures, and performances.
Founded in 2006 and officially chartered in 2007, MAC has become an anchor to the downtown economy and destination for visitors. Sixty-five members strong, MAC Center for the Arts is the only non-profit Arts Group in the state run solely by volunteers. The uniqueness and diversity at the MAC has been recognized by local city and state officials honoring our pursuit of the Arts in the Northeast Kingdom.
MAC strives to revitalize the arts in our communities and give people a shared cultural experience.
