You’ll find a full calendar of events, classes, workshops and much, much more for all four seasons. There’s always something to do.
Driving around the Northeast Kingdom you’ll find that almost every town and village has a locally owned general store. It’s there you’ll find those specialty items that bring comfort on a trip or give locals a meeting place and access to quick grab items. The days of the pickle barrel are gone but you can still get one out of the jar at the deli counter. Let’s not forget the maple candy and products, pulled taffy, and fresh local baked goods that our general stores produce. Visiting these rural Vermont markets is all in itself an attraction not to be missed.

MAC Center for the Arts
The MAC exists to nurture our community’s understanding, appreciation and support of the arts, cultural heritage and humanities.
Our spacious 2000 sq. ft. street-level gallery showcases the work of our artists, photographers, handcrafters, writers, performers and musicians. Art is changed quarterly to keep the gallery fresh. MAC holds free receptions open to the public and featuring live music and refreshments at each changeover. Additionally, there is a lower gallery that hosts seasonal exhibitions, visiting exhibitions, education classes, lectures, and performances.
Founded in 2006 and officially chartered in 2007, MAC has become an anchor to the downtown economy and destination for visitors.
